The Rise team recently attended A2IM Indie Week, a leading event for the independent music industry. We were particularly excited that our Head of Business Development, Henry Cutting, was a featured panelist discussing the critical topic of monetizing social media for labels and artists.
The discussion covered a range of strategies, including direct sales, leveraging platform-specific revenue models, and forging data-driven brand partnerships. The conversation also focused on how to better empower small marketing teams to achieve greater efficiency and manage their workload effectively, particularly through the use of tools like Rise.
The panel — which included Victoria Yip, Sr. Marketing Manager at SET, Dan Sander, Chief Commercial Officer at Feature.fm, Erika McRoy, Head of Commercial Music Partnerships at Epidemic Sound, and Morgan Mills, Chief Marketing Officer for CmdShft — highlighted that automating social media growth is a prerequisite to successful monetization. By streamlining growth efforts, artists and labels can then dedicate more resources to creative and strategic monetization initiatives.
“We are incredibly proud and grateful to be a member of A2IM, the largest independent music business organization in the U.S.” said Henry, “Our team spent three valuable days learning about new tools and industry best practices. This ongoing learning ensures we can continue to provide Rise customers with best-in-class marketing campaigns and service.”
